Car Show total

Hi everyone, we just wanted to let everyone know that the final total raised by the car show for Keech Hospice in July was a magnificent £1520.95. Thank you to everyone who helped, attended or donated – this is a fantastic effort considering that it is a free of charge event. Well done to team Ken!!! Chris & Caroline.

A quiet country pub

Caroline & Chris welcome you to The Plough Inn. Situated in the hamlet of Wingfield, within the parish of Chalgrave in Bedfordshire, The Plough Inn is a pretty, thatched country pub with a lovely atmosphere, low ceilings, oak beams and an open fire. In the summer, the enclosed garden offers scenic views across open countryside. The building itself is approximately 350 years old and was once a coaching inn – it comes with a resident ghost which, like everyone else in the pub, is very friendly and doesn’t cause any bother.

Fullers Real Ales

As a Fullers public house there is the usual selection of excellent real ales, with London Pride and Gales HSB being the regulars – normally there is a guest beer to sample as well. We are also Cask Marque registered.

Home Cooked Food

The pub has a great menu of home cooked food, mostly traditional classics; or try the chef’s specials, which are very tempting.

For the smaller appetite we also offer a Lunchtime Menu – great value at only £8.75 for a main course or £10.95 for two courses.

Dress Code

While we don’t pretend to be a fancy establishment, we do have our standards – so we ask that gentlemen remove their hats inside the pub and that no vest tops are worn. Thank you for your understanding.

Easy to Reach

Being only a short distance from the both M1 and A5, the pub is easily accessible and well worth the trip. Nearby towns and villages include Toddington, Dunstable, Houghton Regis and Leighton Buzzard so if you’re visiting the area why not pay us a visit? We look forward to welcoming you.
